Yoga

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a thousand-year-old physical practice from India composed of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing), it aims to soften and strengthen our muscles and tendons and regulate our flow of vital energy. Its benefits on the body and mind are recognized in particular for stress management and the search for physical and emotional balance.

What will you learn at Oranga?

Our practice aims to help you regain possession of your body and your mind, it is a yoga accessible to all, beginner or intermediate. We are not into performance, we are not going to do the splits or do acrobatic exercises!

We adapt each of our stays to the group present with a preliminary questionnaire aimed at defining your needs (to put an end to back pain, manage your stress, boost your immune system, strengthen your vital energy, search for greater flexibility,… ), each posture will be performed to work on a particular bodily benefit and will be explained to you so that you can fully benefit from it.

Our Yoga is not specific, it is global, it will therefore draw on various currents ( Vinyasa , Hatha , Iyengar , Kundalini, Yin Yoga) in order to reach the right rhythm and the right balance for the Group present during each stay. No dogmas, just the freedom to do what’s good for our body and mind, that’s all.

Qi Gong

What is Qi Gong ?

Derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong is the health discipline par excellence aimed at strengthening our vital energy and taking care of our fundamental balances managed by our organs (Heart, Pericardium, Spleen, Lung, Kidneys, Liver) and our viscera (small intestine, triple heater, stomach, large intestine, bladder, gallbladder).

Composed of slow and synchronized movements, Qi Gong is not gymnastics contrary to what is often written, but a search to find one’s QI (one’s vital energy, the breath of life). Without Qi, life would not exist. It is therefore the search for our momentum of life, our life force, our deep vitality.

All the work will consist in feeling this Qi rising in us, and circulating throughout our body through our energy meridians (known in acupuncture in particular). This Qi is the free flow of energy in our body. All our ailments, our illnesses come from an absence or poor circulation of our energy in our body.

Qi Gong therefore aims to awaken and reveal this life force that is within us. It’s acupuncture in motion.

What are the benefits of Qi Gong ?

The benefits of our QI Gong practice are immediate and will be long term with practice. We will teach you energy routines based on QI Gong movements from health QI Gong, allowing you to stretch the meridians in depth and relax the whole body. By putting energy back into the meridians, we strengthen our organs (tonification of the heart, strengthening of the lungs, detoxification of the liver, regeneration of the spleen, etc.), and we thus protect ourselves better from external aggressions (both physical and emotional)

We will help you reveal the life force within you. Make you feel the Qi, like a discovery of the energy circulations of our body. When one discovers the QI, another world opens up and a new understanding emerges, that of a more subtle body, ready to reveal itself.

Gong Bath

What is Gong Bath ?

It is a practice using the sound vibrations coming from Gongs, Tibetan bowls, crystals , tuning forks and other instruments aiming to have a beneficial therapeutic and energetic effect on the person who receives them.

What are the benefits of Gong Bath ?

At Oranga, we make gong baths, these magnificent instruments whose sound vibration is adjusted to the rotation frequency of the planets in our solar system. The benefits of Gong baths are widely recognized today: an intense feeling of well-being, deep relaxation and peace of mind. And that’s not all, the sound vibrations also act on the cells of our body and have a particularly positive influence on our blood, lymphatic and energy circulation. The advantage of this practice is that there is nothing to do, just lie down and fall asleep to the sounds of these vibrations.

Please note that the practice of Gong baths is not recommended if you are:

– Pregnant less than 4 months or more than 8 months

– Carrier of a pacemaker

– Suffering from epileptic disorders

Thank you for notifying us in order to adapt our practices.

Meditation

What is mindfulness meditation ?

Meditation , also called mindfulness meditation, is a secular meditation that consists of being fully aware of the present moment, without judgment, without interference. It consists of calming your mind through guided meditations and breathing that help you be in the present moment and channel your thoughts.

What are the benefits of mindfulness meditation ?

Learning to meditate is learning to take a step back from the situations we experience in order to better understand and accept them. It’s learning to calm your mind, which often seeks to attract us to negative emotions. It’s stopping this little bike in our head that can’t say stop.

We will teach you simple meditations that you can reproduce at home without difficulty, meditations adapted to your needs: management of fears, anxiety, morning routine to prepare for your day.
